Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock out McGill via TKO in the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Her UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd finished Evinger in the opening round and got her a night's performance bonus. Her first major fight in her debut fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. In her place, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
